If you cannot install J!Research due to a SQL error related to SQL CREATE VIEW statement, please try this package. J!Research 1.1.4 and 1.2 include SQL views for the management of publications due to compatibility reasons with J!Fish. This package includes 1.1.4.1 release patched to not include views so MySQL 4.x users won't have problems installing it. Furthermore, even MySQL 5.x users might experience problems with views according to this bug report. Known issue: As 1.1.x branch does not include multilingual support, sites with J!Fish might expose SQL debug information in frontend publications view when J!Fish query database plugin is enabled (that plugin is vital for multilingual support, so disabling it, is not an option).
